Hi, I'm Raki, I'm going to be the man behind the curtains, recording the interviews and streaming the webchats. I'm a 4th year college student at the University of California at San Diego, and I'm currently studying Cognitive Science with a focus in Neuroscience.
    I actually got involved with this project because I've worked at Yerkes Observatory since high school as a student programmer, and this summer, I had an idea to try to make a sonification tool, where I ended up working alongside my counterpart Chris Mathews. 
    I'm new to podcasting, but I'm no stranger to streaming, as I run a (more or less) weekly gaming stream on Twitch's platform and a weekly radio show at KSDT, my university's radio station. I'm excited to use my resources to help make these IDATA webchats and interviews public as well as to listen and maybe contribute to the conversation a bit.

    Hi, my name is Chris Mathews and I'm going to be the ​guy whose lovely voice you'll hear half the time on these podcasts. A little bit about me; I was born more than 3 months early, and was diagnosed with Retinopathy of Prematurity, a condition that has caused me to be legally blind for my entire 19 years of life. Throughout that time, I have experienced so many different places and things, and I want to be able to share some of those experiences and insights with you, the audience for The Zero Point.
    As a sophomore in college, I am relatively new to journalism. The Zero Point is my first venture in podcasting. I hope to bring engaging conversation with real people in the STEM and other related fields, all while presenting new exciting viewpoints and perspectives.
    I hope by being the voice behind the microphone and the presenter of questions, I want to push the way you think of STEM and those who lead the field in new, innovative, and exciting ways. So tune in, tell your friends, and journey with me to The Zero Point.
